What You Read—A Clue to You


The last time you had your nose buried in a book, what were you reading? A great mystery or a light romance? Some historical fiction? Or maybe you’re a magazine freak and have stacks of well-thumbed glossies. Answer these questions and clue in to your reading personality.girl reading

1. When your mom asks you to take your little sister to the library, you
a. grab your canvas tote so you can fill it up with books for yourself, too.
b. help your sister find the books you loved when you were her age.
c. hope they have the latest copy of your favorite fashion mag.

2. Your favorite TV show has been pre-empted for a special so you
a. go through your mom’s book-club books looking for a good one.
b. dig into the first few chapters of your English assignment.
c. surround yourself with brownies, a glass of milk and a pile of sci-fi stories.

3. You’ve just finished an amazing fantasy trilogy and feel a little lost, so you
a. join the new reading club at school and hope to discuss it.
b. start over with the first book.
c. look for more books by the same author.

4. You’re lunching with friends at the mall and notice the new bookstore. You
a. tell your friends to have dessert while you go and check it out.
b. dash over and ask for a job application.
c. see a poster for a book signing by one of your favorite authors and promise to go.

5. You love the latest mystery you’re reading so much that you
a. imagine your friends as some of the characters in the book.
b. recommend it to all your buds.
c. hope the author has written at least two more.

6. Your neighbors have a yard sale with boxes of used books, so you
