c. Leave it on the table. The janitor will probably pick it up.
d. Personally take it to the local recycling center. You don’t trust your school.

a. sing one more Jeremy Camp song than usual while in the shower. You’re almost done, and it was a hard practice.
b. take a sponge bath. Water is too precious to be wasted.
c. use all the hot water. There’s more where that came from, and you deserve it.
d. find excuses to stay in the tub. The water feels so good!

c. The extras, like a nice CD player and that handy GPS system. No more getting lost!
d. A mixture of its miles-per-gallon rating, looks and comfort.

mags 5. You’ve noticed that everyone at your after-school job throws away extra paper. You ask the boss,
a. “Can we make sure the trash cans aren’t overflowing? I wouldn’t want anything to fly out.”
b. “Can we bring in some recycling bins for the extra paper? I’ll oversee the project.”
c. “Can’t you see you’re killing the earth? I quit!”
d. “Why don’t we have more trash cans? There’s never enough for me!”

6. When you wash dishes, you
a. use just enough water as is necessary.
b. play with the sprayer. Hey, it’s amusing on a Monday afternoon.
c. leave the water running while you grab a snack from the fridge.
d. collect rainwater from outside until you have enough for two cups and a bowl.

7. What would bears in the woods see after you camped there for a weekend?
a. Candy wrappers, graham cracker boxes, a broken lantern—you name it, you left it!
b. Maybe some apple seeds and a peach pit, but that’s all nature anyway.
c. Nothing. In fact, you chastised other campers for their bad environmental habits.
d. Some Styrofoam cups. But your campsite didn’t look as bad as some others.

8. Your house feels like an igloo! What do you do?

0-7 points: Red light! You see the earth as a personal dumping ground. Remember, when you litter or use water recklessly, you’re harming something that God made and saw as good. Look for little ways to take care of His creation, like throwing away your trash and recycling.

8-14 points: You’re on the right track, but your thinking might need an adjustment. Sounds like you’ve forgotten it takes a group effort to keep the earth clean. Maybe you can’t do it all yourself, but you certainly can do your part to ensure a healthy earth. It’s true: you can make a difference!

15-22 points: The earth thanks you! Your everything-in-moderation attitude goes a long way in making God’s world cleaner. You know that going overboard in either direction isn’t healthy, and you consider how your decisions will impact the earth around you. Try to pass on your green behaviors to your friends and classmates, and keep up the good work!

23-30 points: Wow! Your concern about keeping the earth clean is awesome. But your zeal for ecological perfection might get the best of you someday. Realize that it’s OK to pamper yourself with a hot bath every once in a while, and make sure your environmental wisdom is given with love, not anger. God loves your passion—don’t lose it!
