Can Mother and Daughter Make the Grade?

Your mother knows your middle name and never forgets your birthday, but can you two make the grade on other fun trivia about each other? First, have your mom guess your favorite color. If she’s right, she gets a point. Then guess your mom’s favorite color. If you’re right—one point. Continue with the other questions.

1. Favorite color

2. Favorite type of book to read

3. Subject you dislike the most

4. Favorite food

5. Your dream vacation place is . . .

6. Favorite season

7. How much change is in your purse right now?

8. Your best friend’s eye color is . . .

9. Favorite sport to play

10. Favorite state (besides your own)

11. Favorite music group or singer

12. How many pairs of jeans do you own?

13. Favorite flower

14. If you were an animal, it would be . . .

15. Last movie you saw—at home or out

16. What shoes are you wearing? (No peeking!)

17. Cartwheels—right/left handed, or no way?

18. How do you feel about plaid shirts?

19. At this moment, bed made or unmade?

20. What did you wear yesterday?

Scoring Guide
0-13 points: Quick, Take the Quiz Again

Looks like the two of you need to plan a “date” out to reconnect. While you might not have to know what shoes each other is wearing, it’s time to study up on the basics. Grab some Post-it notes and begin jotting notes to each other.

14-27 points: Covering Middle Ground
While you’re not ready for an advanced course on Favorites 101, you’ve met the standard for knowing what color shirt to get for each other on your birthdays. If you’re ready for some extra credit, share your most embarrassing moment with each other.

28-40 points: Quiz Bowl Champions
Watch out for the Quiz Masters. When it comes to knowing each other, or just listening, you two pass with flying colors. Looks like the students are advancing to teachers when it comes to communication. Bonus question: Who can name more state capitals?

Option: Take the quiz with your dad, aunt, uncle, grandma or any adult with whom you have a close relationship.
